Am down in Birmingham – what a vibrant city – for the first day of the conference. Only 10am, but have already had my picture taken by the BBC for election night (just in case I win!)
In a few minutes, when Conference opens, I should be appearing in a video with my colleague Ron Bell (PPC for Blackpool South) discussing last year’s Conference Social Action Project on Grange Park. The local community on the estate has taken this garden to its heart, and it provides a meeting point for local youngster who plant and grow their own fruit and vegetables.
Earlier I bumped into my old friend and employer, Dr Liam Fox. Liam is a great asset to the party and really has a handle on the defence brief. Many local people in Blackpool are employed directly or indirectly within the defence industry and it is great to know that under a Conservative Government Liam will be handling this vital industry – and the defence of this Country.
I’ll be popping on the web every so often, so keep checking out for updates.
Hello, and thanks for visiting my site! As the Conservative MP for Blackpool North and Cleveleys, my job is to serve the interests of my constituents and represent their concerns in Westminster. Hopefully, my website will bring you a little bit closer to what is happening and how you can get involved. Find out about where I stand on the things that affect us locally and how you can share your thoughts with me by using the links at the top of the page. I look forward to hearing from you!
