It seems as though the police no longer know how to count crimes. They don’t always record them properly, so how can we trust the Government when they tell us that crime is down by this per cent, and violent crime by that per cent. It seems that when you take everything into account, violent crime has gone up by 22% in the past year.
What we all do know is that crime and anti-social behaviour are the subject of growing concern amongst local people.
Hello, and thanks for visiting my site! As the Conservative MP for Blackpool North and Cleveleys, my job is to serve the interests of my constituents and represent their concerns in Westminster. Hopefully, my website will bring you a little bit closer to what is happening and how you can get involved. Find out about where I stand on the things that affect us locally and how you can share your thoughts with me by using the links at the top of the page. I look forward to hearing from you!

in the last 6 weeks not 300 yds from where I live ,we have had 2 arson attacks, burning out cars and damaging property. we have had 2 breakins, youths discharging air rifle, fights in the street, vandalisation of a car, a car completely broken into and property stolen and damaged, a situation where a young man and girl where fighting in the street and the police had to attend. Planning application passed to allow more noise and disturbance at the rear of my property from storage in garages, 2/3 oclock in a morning people wandering about in the same area, continuous noise and smells from restaurant and pubs – and we pay council tax to live here! You can’t find a policeman when you need him, the council planning dept are a total joke – perhaps if you started with the smaller picture rather than slagging each other off you would get further – its peoples lives that matter not scoring hits on the next political party, beccuse at the end of the day you are both as bad as each other – do something for the people and you would get my vote every time.
