March 7 in blog,Cleveleys by Paul Maynard MP

tobias_ellwood_0551I was pleased to take our Shadow Tourism Minister Tobias Ellwood up to Cleveleys to look at the new £20 million promenade – and also to look at the Rossall Beach area which is crying out for a bit of TLC to match the town centre’s coastal stretch.

We were greeted there by Jane Littlewood and David Hewitt from the Rossall Beach Residents Association and representatives from Birse Construction and Wyre Borough Council. As a Bournemouth MP, Tobias is no stranger to seaside towns. But even he was impressed by the cafe shortly to open at Easter. When we were there they were busy erecting the little wind turbines that should – all things being equal – provide enough power to keep it going. I look forward to opening day!

You can see more pictures of the visit and more information at http://www.rossallbeach.org.uk/members.html.
