Blackpool North and Cleveleys MP Paul Maynard has met with ambulance workers and managers to discuss the future of the service in Blackpool.
Mr Maynard arranged the visit following news reports on how the service might operate in the future.He spoke with managers about plans for sites in Blackpool and Thornton, serving his constituency and met with crew members.
Mr Maynard said: "Following concerning stories in the press, I visited Blackpool Ambulance station, to meet with service managers and staff and discuss the future of the service. I am pleased to hear there are no plans to close Blackpool's ambulance station or the one in Thornton and it was a pleasure to meet the hard working staff who do so much for our local community."
